Life groups can be anything you do life through with Moms, singles, sports, business, cooking, painting, curriculum study, Financial Peace Dave Ramsey, book study, garage sales, ministry and the list goes on.
* All curriculum or book studies must be approved by the church.
Life groups also are the "Dream Team" ministries like "Greeters, ushers, hospitality, sound/lighting etc."
Many times members have a desire to do something like outreach, garage sales, nursing home, security, exercise, etc and the list goes on, and on. If God has put a ministry idea that can reach people, minister to people, or expand the church.
Now instead of the church leadership trying to motivate and organize these ministries. We have taken the position to empower you, coach you, mentor you, and help you start a Life group with your friends. For you to be free and empowered by the church to do what God has put in your heart. Through mentoring, training, and life you will be fulfilled, and released to do what God has led you to do for him! This is a wonderful thing....
So everything we do as a church take place in life groups.

How Life Groups Work
1. Free market groups.
Free market groups meet the felt needs of people and therefore a multitude of topics and interests are available. People choose the type of group they want to go to based on relationships and/or interest or a need they might have. The number of people in each group is not limited, but left up to the ability of the leader and the interest of the people.
Since leaders are able to express their gifts in areas that are appealing to them, every member of the church can have a ministry outlet.
2. Three semesters.
New Life groups start and stop three times a year--with spring, Summer and fall semesters. Each semester is kicked off with a Rally Day celebration where each group is showcased to the church.
The semester system makes it easy for new members to join a life group. Clear starting and stopping dates allow people to know the commitment beforehand.
Groups that are thriving will continue on from semester to semester, and the groups that are lacking in participation will continue developing their ministry opportunities.
3. Becoming a leader.
Everyone has areas of strengths and gifting that could benefit others. The first step in becoming a small group leader is to identify that area of gifting then attend the Life Group Leader Orientation. These orientations will be offered as often as possible.
